Moray Ocean Community launches website

We would also like to thank our community members who got a sneak preview last week and gave us some brilliant feedback that we have incorporated. It has been a fantastic learning experience for us to learn how to edit a website! Susan at Embra who created the website for us has been wonderful at answering all our questions and helping make the website look the best it can be.
If you see anything that we can add or improve to the website please do get in touch with us at hello@morayoceancommunity.co.uk
We are super excited to be able to launch the website at the start of April which is officially citizen science month! Citizen science is an incredible opportunity for all of us to gather important information on our local wildlife and environment. You don't need to have a university degree to take part - just an interest to learn and give something new ago! We love citizen science here at Moray Ocean Community and have tried lots of different ones from seaweed and seagrass to oyster shells and dolphins. Why not have an explore of our resources to find out more and keep an eye on on our events page for opportunities to come out and join us.
We actually have a great opportunity to come and join us and learn more about coastal citizen science on the 12th April - check out our events page to sign up to join us at Findhorn and Hopeman for some fun snorkelling and paddleboarding over seagrass, osyter shell surveys and beach walk with a final rockpool and seaweed survey to finish the day. We will be joined by Mike who is a film maker and also thanks to the Kickstarter Project is making us a wonderful community film to showcase what we do at Moray Ocean Community to help encourage more folk to come along and get involved.
We hope you love the website as much as we do and hopefully see you on the beach soon!
